They disappear as you approach an ortho view, this seems a bizarre quality to me? Not least that they can’t be selected. in front/right view.
I believe this is deliberate functionality to avoid cluttering/confusing the display. Text and dims work a similar way.
Yeah, that’s the only reason I thought it could be too. Seems a bit premature for them to disappear still when in the 3D view, to me.
Hm- yeah - hard to say - I could see that in a Perspective viewport, this might not be needed or expected - in Ortho views it makes sense below a certain angle.
