Discretizing Stress-Based Thickness per Unit Cell in Karamba

Hi,

I’m new to this community and it’s my first time using Karamba and Rhino. After running a stress analysis in Karamba, I get a continuous thickness distribution. I’d like to simplify the output by assigning a uniform thickness to each unit cell, based on the average or maximum thickness within that cell so each unit cell has one value, but different cells can have different thicknesses.

What’s the best way to approach this in Karamba/Grasshopper?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, you can define variable shell thicknesses for one shell for each face: 3.3.2: Shell Cross Sections | Karamba3D v3

Otherwise you can also define each meshface as a separate mesh with a different thickness
