Disabling annotations when printing patent drawings

I would like to be able to print (to image files) patent drawings with and without the annotations. I haven’t found a way to disable the annotations; they aren’t associated with a layer and I don’t see anything in the properties or print dialogs. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I’m using Version 6 SR16, later versions cause errors in my patent drawings.

Maybe you can assign the background color as printing color.

Hi Chuck - have you sent us files that show the errors? If not, please do.
SelDim , SelText , SelLeader , may help for your immediate question - you can hide or set all the objects to No Print.
Note you can set printing to only print selected objects as well, you might be able to do something with that.
Does that help at all?

Hi Pascal,
No I haven’t reported the upgrade errors yet. Once we get the patent application submitted in a couple of months I’ll have time to pursue that.

Your first suggestion (sel* commands, hide, print) works. Your second suggestion doesn’t work because it only prints a blank page even though the drawing was selected.
