Disable Grasshopper Preview

I know this is actually presented as a feature, but is there a way to disable the automatic preview of Grasshopper Geometry in V-Ray?

I would like much more if it was off by default, but could be enabled with a simple component, a bit like custom preview.

I have a file where I need to see the Grasshopper geometry in the viewport, but not in the render and always switching back and forth is a bit tedious.

Thanks for any hints on how to disable it.

Hi seltzdesign
I didn’t get that
Pure grasshopper geometry won’t appear in the renderer unless plugged in to a VGeo component
Even if plugged, you can set it as invisible, and it will not be rendered.
And which renderer you’re talking about ? V-Ray in Rhino (populated with GH geometry by the RenderInProject component), or V-Ray in Grasshopper ?

Would you elaborate a bit more?

I mean the normal Grasshopper custom preview (which I use to give the objects I am showing the correct colors).

Shouldn’t custom preview not show up at all?

Sorry, no way around that.
It appears in the Rhino render too, and probably in all other renderers as well
