I am using Rhino to draft a machine drawing. I want to display the dimensions of a hole with 0.375 in diameter, using both metric (mm) and imperial (in) units. the units are displayed correctly when the tolerance style is set to deviation (or symmetric), as shown in the first screenshot.
However, when the tolerance style is set to “limits”, the alternate units (which should display decimal inches) instead show the value in mm. If I set the primary units to decimal inches, the value still remains as mm (i.e. 9.xx) How can I dsiplay the tolerance in the “limits” style using units other than mm?
Thanks for the report Wim. After investigating a bit more, it seems a similar problem exists in other tolerance styles as well. For example, in “deviation”, the length units correctly show 0.375 in (3/8") when set to unit - Format = inches - decimal. Despite this, the tolerance upper and lower values expect mm, and so to display a deviation of 0.001 in, I must enter the corresponding upper value in mm (0.0254).
