Hi guys
Does anyone have an idea where the problem are coming from, component dimensions certainly. the second distance should be equal to 12
thank you
The dimensions are for the entire surface, not just the trimmed part. I am however surprised that rectangles becomes trimmed surfaces in the autoconversion, there’s no need for that added complexity.

instead I used segments lenghts component
Thank you

Hi
it is the approximation of dimensions component which is responsible for it.
the approximation is about 0.02
Dimensions.gh (11.2 KB)
I improved the automatic curve -> surface converter to create untrimmed surfaces from all rectangles and rectangular polylines.

Hi Tom - I see that - this was the case in V5 for a while then was fixed - I don’t know if this V6 behavior is by design or not, I’ll check on it, thanks. I do know that for example FlowAlongSrf has been tuned up to use the ‘shrunk’ version of the input surfaces, so that removes one of the problems that was caused by this - anyway, I’ll see what I can find out. https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-44513 (Using the Plane command is probably quicker anyway, but hopefully we can get t…
