We have got a file with a layout.
There is a single dimension on it.
The dimension text is 3.
But this is the wrong value.
Correct is 50, and when I place a dimension it is 50.
When the customer places a dimension, he gets 3 again.
I tried to find a difference and couldn’t find a different style or setting.
I wonder what else can cause this?

Both ends of the “3” dim are off of the object by a small amount. My guess is your customer has different snap settings and is visually picking a point near the object rather than snapping to the object corners. This causes the dimension to measure layout-space units (rounded to the nearest whole unit as per the style settings).
That’s it!
I compared the point positions, and with 2 or 3 decimal places I wasn’t able to find that.
