Is there a way to turn off dimension history?

I read in an earlier post that there is an option to turn off history warnings. Does this option still exist?

Yes, right-click on Record History in the status bar:

Hi Alasdair - HistoryPurge may help but it does not look to me at the moment like you can turn off the auto history for dimensions.
