Digital Design Community - In Person Event | Sept 21, 2022 | NYC

Join us for our first in person event of the New York Digital Design Community since 2020, featuring a great group of speakers!

These events are a great way to meet other design technology leaders in our community, gain exposure to some of the innovative work and approaches by other offices, and network with other like-minded individuals.

In this installment, practitioners from Buro Happold, KPF, and Hypar will showcase how the use of generative design in practice is changing the way designers can harness real world data, predictive simulation and stakeholder engagement for higher performing design outcomes.

Time & Location:

September 21, 2022 | 6:30 PM EST

He has written, lectured and presented extensively on the topic of structuring strategies for complex geometries, and is fluent in English, German, Italian and French. In October 2021 Wolf took on the prestigious role of Professor of Structural Design at The University of Applied Arts Vienna, leading their Department of Structural Design at the Angewandte’s Institute of Architecture (IoA).

Luc Wilson | Director, KPF

Luc is a Director at Kohn Pedersen Fox and leads KPF Urban Interface (,) an urban technology team focused on computational design, software development, and data analytics. The UI team has worked on over 400 projects globally ranging from master plans to rezonings to supertall towers. His work and research has been published in both academic and popular publications from Architectural Science Review and the Economist to Wired and the New York Times.

Andrew Heumann | Software Developer, Hypar

Andrew Heumann is a software developer building the next generation of computational tools for architectural design at Hypar. Prior to joining Hypar, Andrew was a Senior Researcher at WeWork, a Design Technology Specialist at Woods Bagot, and the leader of NBBJ’s Design Computation team. He has written more than 20 plug-ins for 3D modeling software like Rhino and Revit, including the popular “Human” and “Human UI” plug-ins for Grasshopper. He has created many bespoke tools for design teams and practices, aiding in the management of project metrics, environmental and urban analysis, and facade design.
