Since the latest update I came across this issue a second time now where the extremes component works differently than when I last used the file in the beginning of August.
I can just switch to the other output but I’m wondering if this is supposed to be like that or if it’ll be changed back to how it used to work.
The current solution looks correct, so maybe it was wrong a few months ago?

This seems OK. What do remember as different before?
Two files from before the latest update had it different, flipped… High was low.
OK. They are still the other way up in R6 & R7 for other curves, but are completely wrong for circles (H & L coincide and are at neither point, nor at curve ends). I guess they got fixed recently for R8 & 9 and that brought about the reorientation.
The current implementation does make more sense.
I can see where this is coming from but the XZ plane normal is pointing -Y so this is confusing.

I noticed this as well: The outputs of the “Extreme” component switched after an update recently.
It is good that the outputs are correct, and I remember that I have been confused by the direction of the outputs before.
But: This means that I have to rewire every Grasshopper definition I have that use this component. It is easy to search for them, but the problem is to find those that are within clusters (and even subclusters in some cases). Does anyone know a way to search for components inside of all the clusters in a file?
I think I’ve got this all sorted out now. This fix should be in the next service release. Thanks for reporting this.
RH-90027 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 26
