Developing on Rhino 8, how to test Rhino 7?

Hey all, I’m developing a plugin on Rhino 8. What is the best way to test it on Rhino 7? Do I need to get both license? Thanks!

If you have a Commercial or Educational single-user license for Rhino 8, you can get a legacy key for Rhino 7 from Rhino - Access Rhino 7

More follow up question, how do I use the same key to test on Windows and MacOS? It seems like the key I received is locked to my current computer. Thanks!
