Detail viewport is messed up when viewing the whole page

I am working on a joinery package set and want to insert some rendered detail views into my layouts for general orientation. When working with clipping planes, the detail viewport is completely messed up, kind of like a camera based clipping bubble. (see pic 1.) when zoomed in to the layout like pic 2, (the detail view is locked), the viewport improves but still not 100%.

This is consistent for all display modes that have either AO or scene lighting turned on, but is not present when it’s in shaded or wireframe.

Hi Chris -
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste its output here.

Hi Wim, Thanks for the quick reply.

Thanks.
I’m not able to reproduce that here in a quick try.
Can you post or upload that file so that we are looking at the same thing?
If you use the upload page, make sure to copy a link to this thread in the comments field.

How would referenced 3dm files from a shared network disk work in this case?

Hi Chris -

That should just work.
If you can narrow it down that this behavior is specific to referenced 3dm file from a shared network disk, we’ll need details about that shared network to see if we can find out more.

This is a pretty old driver for Rhino 8. You might want to update it and see if it helps.

Hi Chris -

I was just notified that we have received a file from you.
When I open it here, there’s a “Missing Block Definition File” warning about the “Carcavelos_3D_Master.3dm” file that is linked to but not included in the zip file.

The layout then looks like this:

… where only the three small details to the right are locked.

Should I be seeing something off in this file alone, and, if so, in which detail?

Hi Wim, In the end I’m unsure what the problem was, abandoning the file and starting a new one from scratch solved the issue.
