Detail Section Styles Pattern Color

If I’m not mistaken, currently there is no way to set up different section colors in Detail Views than in the Model View. In other programs, this is a common thing to do, different Detail Views focus on the different aspects of the design, so I would like to gray out sections and leave only selected objects in color.

Setting up Section Style there is a way to assign By Object pattern color. Still, if the object uses By Layer color assignment, then pattern color refers to the Model Layer color and not the Detail Layer color (which I would have expected).
Detail views have some overrides but getting halfway in view setup is sometimes as there were almost no settings at all, because colors need to be managed in the separate program anyway.

Of course this is just a tip of an iceberg when it comes to styling the Detail Views…

when pattern is by object and object is by layer then it definitely should adopt color from detail view layer color since it overrides model layer color. if it is not the case it does not work properly.

This problem also fell between the cracks.
It’s a very common thing to prepare sets of drawings and in each drawing different things are highlighted. For example, in one Detail View I would like a given section of an object to be grayed out and in others to be in its default colors.

Simple video example below.
In the left Detail View object’s section pattern is expected to be green and in the right Detail View to be blue. However, color source for the pattern color is Layer Color instead of the Detail Color.
