Hi,
I have a problem with detail scale, in which Rhino seems to insist to keep the layout scale to exactly 1.
For instance if I want to write this :
Then as soon as I exit detail edition and enter it again, the scale became this :
Firstly I would like to know, is the scale actually converted in the document, or is it just parsed like this when Rhino writes the values in the viewport properties panel ? If it’s converted in the document, I think it’s a shame to lose precision (even a little bit) for no good reason.
Secondly, why does it have to behave like this, whereas the model scale value can be changed to more than 1 ? It seems the layout features were created with the architect users in mind, and yes for them layouts scales tend to decrease the model scale so they always write scales like 1 : 400
in their layouts. But in the jewelry industry we also need to create technical layouts, and most of the time we have to magnify the model on the layout, so we write scales like 3 : 1
, it wouldn’t look very professional to write 1 : ~0.333
