Delay of Unit-Popup on Gumball in Rhino 8 drives me crazy

Hi there,

I came across a change of Rhino 8 which really interrupts the usual workflow:
The Unit-Popup when you left-click a Gumball arrow, now has a delay of like a second. So when I now, as usually, immediatly right click to move my stuff it redoes the last command and not the moving action.

Is there a way to get rid of this delay of the popup?

I recorded my screen and looked at the timestamps of the frames.

In my case, the delay seems to be about 0.1 seconds.

Hi Enrico - in the latest SR, you should be able to start typing immediately after clicking and the gumball will register the typing when that filed appears - but the delay, here, is nothing like a second.
What service release are you running?

Currently running Version 8 SR3
(8.3.24009.15001, 2024-01-09)

Its more the usecase of confirming the distance (that I already had put in before) like immediatly after with the right mouse button. So it was like a one “shortcut-like” movement of one left-right click. I guess it’s a kinda niche problem for my worklfow; it’s just that it was possible with Rhino7.

Still would be great to not have this delay in future Rhino8 updates :smiley:

If I click LMB (on the arrow - with an already stored value) and RMB right after really fast (as fast as my old fingers can do) I can actually get it to repeat the last move AND recall the last command.
