Deforming a Mesh Object

Hi everyone:
I bought a 3D model of a Ford pickup from an online modeler. The vehicle modelers aren’t as concerned about the specific dimensions of the vehicle as I am. When I put the wheels where they belong from the vehicle specifications, the opening of the wheel well that the modeler created is not centered on the tire.
I would like to deform the mesh of the objects to shift the wheel well opening toward the rear of the truck about 1.5 inches.
I’ve been studying cage edit and a few other commands and I can’t quite figured out how I can shift the wheel well opening without deforming the rest of the truck? Could you just point me to the right command for moving the mesh vertices at the edge of the wheel well rearward while leaving the rest of the truck alone?

What other commands have you tried, if you don’t mind me asking?

I recall SoftTransform can come in handy in similar situations.

Beyond my sloppy attempts at using cage edit, I’ve just been turning on the points for the mesh and dragging them. It makes the message uneven and it’s a very slow and clumsy way to do it.I’ll look at the command you suggested. Thank you.

I would try and use the stretch command. It should work well to add exactly 1.5" to the bed behind the cab. Before the end of the door trim.

Scott, thank you! I completely forgot about this - I’ve used it in GH and didn’t even cross my mind.
