Default section profiles missing

Newbie question…

I’ve just installed VisualARQ 3.10 and want to play around creating a steel beam. According to the screenshots I saw, there should be a predefined database of different steel profiles already.

Mine is completely empty.

Should I do a reinstall, or did I miss something during installation?

Open VisualARQ template. The profiles are there.

Thanks for the quick reply.

How could I use those profiles when I need to open an existing file?

You can copy/paste beams from file to file. Or if you want all the styles, you can export/import.

Looks like the exact same question with almost the same wording was asked 6 years ago…

I swear it wasn’t me.:innocent:

Hi @Andreas_Zieritz, You can open a new file from a VisualARQ template, export the desired styles (all, if you want) with the vaStylesExport command to a .val file, and then, import this .val file into the existing document with the vaStylesImport command.

In this directory you will find the .val files of VisualARQ object styles library that comes with the templates: Rhino 8: C:\Program Files\AsuniCAD\VisualARQ 3\RHINO8\en-US\Libraries
