So recently I’ve been making a Grasshopper plugin and could never get my own icons looking right. Every icon in Grasshopper was hand drawn by David Rutten, and in 2011 he published the Xara sources (Rhino - Grasshopper Icons) and wrote up his method (On Icons – Bugs for breakfast). The .xar format has been unopenable for years, so Claude and I wrote a converter and recovered the set. The repo also has a SKILL that teaches his method, so people and models can draw new icons in the same language.
It’s close but not perfect. If something looks off, open an issue on GitHub and we’ll do our best to fix it.
