Cyberstrak plugin

Happy New Year also for you all!

2.0 WIP will be made available for download in the next days. There will also be a website with described changes against 1.X. Version will not need a license for some days after build date, but the new licensing (Cloud Zoo and LAN Zoo) is in and interested users can get a Zoo license for testing.

Depending on feedback there will new WIPs become available until the release.

Please note, it CANNOT be installed in parallel to 1.X, it replaces it. So if there are some issues it is necessary to re-install the previous 1.X again.

Thanks for the News -
I am Very excited
Did you also figure out a system for a perpetual license for 2.0?

Yes, 2.0 will contain (in parallel to subscription) also a perpetual license mechanism. More Information you will get when the version is published.

Hi Peter, I was going to download the 2.0 wip version but noticed its only for Rhino 8, will you be releasing it for 7 as well?

Yes, the 2.0 WIP was uploaded yesterday evening. I just wanted to publish the message in the forum, when Ryan already found it…

Please have a loook here: WIP (Work in Progress) - Cyberstrak

In principle the goal is to support always 2 Rhino versions. The WIP is currently offered only for R8. I’m a bit unsure about the progress of the Rhino R9 - currently there is no SDK for Plugin developers offered yet. If this is published I hope to offer very soon a R9 version of Cyberstrak.

If not, there may be a R7 version.

Is it a lot of extra work to release the Wip on Rhino 7 as well?
I would prefer R7!

OK, I will compile the next WIP also for R7.

Thanks Peter, looking forward to trying out the new build! Hopefully it’s not too much of an inconvenience going between both versions, I know a lot of people still use R7 so it would be much appreciated :+1:

The next WIP is available here: WIP (Work in Progress) - Cyberstrak

It contains also a Rhino 7 version.

Great update! I see that you added a new “Selected” option for the “CV modeling” tool. That gives a lot more freedom now.

I know that your time is quite limited, but more people would be able to see the advantages of buying your plug-in if there is a common 3dm file consisting several models in the scene, where each one is specifically made to showcase the capability of each individual tool.

excited to test CS 2.0 now
First impression is good- the single toolbar locks cleaner now!
I didnt get the new surface from curves to work yet-

And when trying out to apply symmery on a curve Rhino (7) just shut down…

the handles are great- but very small and therefore hard to see and grab-

is there a way to move cvs/hulls while in the match command diagonally?
