Cut beams against two planes

Hi.

Is it possible to cut a beam against two planes at each side, as shown in the picture?

Hi @pga,

Currently it is not possible to cut a beam by a user defined plane. They are cut automatically if two beam end at the same point, using a mitter cut.

However, there is a workaroung to create the result you want: Create tow boxes with the desired angle, one at each end of the beam, then execute the command vaSubtractSolids, select the beam, then select the 2 boxes, and the beam will be cut:

Have you made any updates on this issue in the newer versions of the software?

Hi @pga,

No news regarding this feature, but I’ve checked our roadmap, and this is a planned feature for VisualARQ 3.0.

Then the natural question is; do you have any information about the release of V3?

The development of VisualARQ 3 has just started. We expect to publish a WIP version very soon, probably at the end of summer, but with minimal changes from VisualARQ 2.

We don’t have a planned VisualARQ 3 release date, but I think it be at least one year from now.
