Custom Texture Renders Blurry

I have a custom texture/material, I create a new material, I select Custom, and for Texture>Colour (click ro assign texture) ‘choose from more texture types…’ I select Tile Texture. In tile texture settings I choose 2D Hexagonal. joint width is U=0.2, V=0.2.

If I then apply this material to a surface and use texture mapping and UVW repeat 100, I get a smaller version of the texture but with pixilated lines. There was a time when I first did this that the lines were crisp and I cannot figure out how to get back to that.

Hi Julian - this is true in V7; the V8 WIP has this sorted out so that proceedural textures always look clean. I do not know if there is a way out in V7.
