Curves From Contour Changes C-Plane Issue

Create an object, a cube, run Contour, create curves, in perspective view if you highlight one of the curves it instantly changes the C-Plane (this is on my MBP)

The new AutoCPlane as default strikes again. To turn off:
Options > Rhino Options > Advanced
Search for Cplane
Click the box to turn off AutoCPlane

@davidcockey thanks for chipping in David, unfortunately it doesn’t solve the problem ! Not on my Mac anyway, I’ll test on my windows machine tomorrow too

Hi David -

Interesting. Which version are you on? On my end, this looks like this:

→ Note the “Only display modified values” option.

Also, FWIW, the “not advanced” control for this setting is here:

Hi Miles -

I’m not seeing that behavior on my Mac, please provide the SystemInfo from that machine.

Work In Progress (8.0.23101.16305, 2023-04-11)

On my Mac latest WIP release, I updated/installed last night, and came across the issue (at work on my windows machine at the moment so cant check version number)

I have the same issue my C plane just flips, rotates, and realines with every object I select making it impossible to rotate my object back horizontally as the new horizontal direction aligns with it. I just can’t find a way to pin it to standard orientation, … you think there should be a button… I did switch off all the out functions in the advanced options menu still the same.

AutoAlignCPlane is enabled. Currently it is enabled when V8 is installed.

Thanks, David it is close to the snap toolbar I found it. I am so used to using Rhino daily that every time they change or move something thows me of my comfort, I believe it is for the better, and it is just an adjustment period.
