I am trying to model curved stairs. The shape is not uniform and is unique. I would like to create a smooth surface under the stairs from one side wall to the other that would make the bottom look smooth and hide the steps. I have the curves from the side walls but when I extract them, they are not capped. I am unable to cap them. I have tried to create a surface from the curves but that is not working either. Any suggestions? I am fine creating a surface or extrusion from either curves or extruded polysurface of the curves.
you can use an interpolate curve end snapped the the corner of each successive stair
do this for both sides, then simply loft-
I did this and it worked. I could still see the stairs pop through on some of my upper stairs for some reason but I will fix it in photoshop. Thank you!
