Curved section view problem

Hi!
I’m encountering an issue with empty curved section views for an item created using Rhino and Grasshopper. As you can see in the video, standard section views are generated correctly, but the curved section view isn’t working.

I suspect the problem lies in the BREP meshing during the baking process to Tekla. In Rhino, the BREP is closed. I also validated this BREP in Rhino using a checker, and the output confirmed “Rhino polysurface object is valid.”
I believe this might be a common issue with complex bridge deck geometries, so perhaps someone has already found a solution?

My guess would be that it depends on how you export and import the geometry from one software to another.

For the export, did you try .step file? Or do you keep it as a .3dm?
If you need a mesh, you can test the meshing process using “Mesh Brep” component in Grasshopper. If you bake the result in Rhino, you might get more information, and then export to .obj or .stl. You can even try the different meshing functions of Rhino.

For the import, I’m not familiar with Tekla, so I don’t know what options you have.

I’d say that this has nothing todo with Grasshopper and I would suggest talking to your local Tekla dealer for support.
