dont be shy and post your file and not a screenshot. also your explanations are certainly very elliptical maybe too, to give anybody a hint what you are actually trying to achieve. grasshoper? only rhino?
its never very helpful if those willing to help have to start asking so many questions, its bothersome and not fun for anybody. unless you enjoy that.
you can select those surfaces and hit offset surface, type in a couple of feet then go back and trim them with a rectangle in front or top view.
