Curve Length, Area, Dims/Annotations Layer

Hello Forum, like many we have a custom template with dedicated layer for Dims to always go on. It seems the Curve Length and Area tools from the Dimension Palette get placed on the current layer ? Surely anything in the Dims palette should go on the specified Dims layer ? (its the same on V9 wip too)

This is on the list as RH-2857 Dimension layer
