Curve block - performance

how much Mac users are ready to pay as extra fee for improved display performance?

that’s why Mac isn’t the best platform.

Only by Apple - not by the rest of the world.

OpenGL is simply from the Stone Age. Apple went down this route many times throwing old “habits”" over board. Maybe ruthless, but surely not always inconsiderate. And after all regarding metal, i believe that has much to do with developing their own processors which at first popped up in their mobile devices like phones and pads and are being forecasted to hit the laptops soon either.

all that has actually a pretty good philosophy when i understand it from the point of radicalism. That applications shall be rebuild from scratch, making them smarter, faster, and loosening old archaic outdated structures up for a fresh and modern touch for fresh and modern people. really its not bad to start over, i am sure many will agree that this can only make things better.

I do agree 100%. A lot of Windows software has still baggage from the 90s. A lot of Windows software has still no OSX version, because the developers are incapable of rethinking their software from scratch. That’s why I stick to the mac and am super happy about it.

Also a big thank you to McNeel, you guys did an amazing job! We really appreciate your work and “our” Rhino Mac .))

These results should be much better now with the latest V7 build

Wow, that is nice!
Now I get 19 FPS with the block instance. That is quite a difference!!! You are on fire @stevebaer, thanks! Soon the blocks will be even faster than a simple geometry
