Curvature criteria?

These questions are for designers, particularly product/industrial designers and automotive designers.

Do you use a numerical criteria to determine if curvature matching between surfaces is satisfactory, or do you rely on visual evaluation?

If you use a numerical criteria do you know if it is an absolute difference in curvature or radius, or a relative difference?

Is there a requirement the curvature criteria must meet?

When I worked in automotive we’d check the position and tangency with numbers.

Position was below 0.005 (but 0.001 was easy to achieve).
Tangency was at or below 4 minutes.

Curvature (to my knowledge) was never checked numerically. Always with the highlights (X,Y,Z).

Flow was evaluated with graphs.
