Cubic diamond structure

Dear friends,
I want to make drawings compatible with 3D printing with the cubic diamond structure. Does anyone have experience in this regard?

There are other tools for creating these structures as lines that you then have to solidify with a plugin like Dendron for example.

I can’t remember the name of the plugin that generates the lattice structure… Search food4rhino.com for lattice.

That cubic diamond should be nice to print as it looks like there shouldn’t be steep overhangs or floating regions.

Also, for just a line network, a diamond structure can be simply modelled by connecting the centre point of a cube to 4 of its corners, then copy pasting that unit


you can add thickness by copying a sphere to each of the vertices and using Pipe on the curves
