Creating a "pringle curve"

circle.gh (16.2 KB) I am trying to create a Circular curve that would define the boundary of a pringles chip (hyperbolic paraboloid) like the image attached, but i keep getting stuck with the coordinates of the Z for the point. Triangulate a pringle-shaped surface in grasshopper

Hi evereyone! pringles.3dm (169.2 KB) Test_triangulation.gh (8.4 KB) I would like to triangulate a surface that looks like a pringle (a parabolloid hyperbolib). I was able to create a variable number of points on the curve, then to draw straight lines going from those points to the center of the surface. But my problem now is that I’d like to draw triangles between two consecutive lines, and I don’t now how to do this. Do you have any idea? Thanks! [image] [image]

Hyperbolic paraboloid

[image] Hello! I’ve created a cylinder and a hyperbolic paraboloid. I want to cut the outer surface. How can I do that correctly? When I used a circle and the “surface split” the shape didn’t appear when viewed from above, instead, it looked more rectangular

And for the bamboo thing I don’t really see the problem. Are they flat so they can just bend on a direction ? Are they weaved ?
