Creating contours for wetland

Hi there,

I hope there is someone cleverer than me who could figure out this conundrum!

I’m trying to create a surface representing a wetland. Different areas of this wetland have different water depths, as pictured below, so the:

  • SHALLOW MARSH (yellow colour) goes from 0 to 150mm deep;
  • DEEP MARSH (brown colour) goes from 150mm to 350mm deep;
  • SUBMERGENT (light blue colour) goes from 350 to 700mm deep;
  • OPEN POOL (dark blue) goes from 700mm to 1.5m deep;

How on earth do I do that?? :smiley:

For instance, when trying to create SHALLOW MARSH, I thought I will just offset some contours (every 0.2m), then drop the internal ones to -0.15m down and then loft a surface. But I realised that when I offset contours, I will have these gaps:

so when I try to loft it, it’s all just chaos result. What’s the clever way to go about it?? For instance, is there a way to ask Rhino to create evenly spaced contours between these outer and inner lines:

or some other way to create that surface?

I’ve been scratching my head all day long about this and can’t think of anything. Hope someone could help!

It should look something like this in the end:
