Hi,
I am attempting to create a sort of continuous ramp that goes around the building in specific areas. I am not sure if a spiral staircase or ramp is better fitting to keep the circulation cohesive. Either way, I want it connecting at each point. How can I design something smooth like this? I want to create the ramps to have a curvature, not straight to follow the flow of the organic extension that I wish to build around it. I have provided sketches (Apologies they are not very clear) to clearly illustrate the outcome I would like to achieve and have began to model parts of it but am struggling to model the bigger picture. Also I don’t want the ramps to take a lot of space in volume as this is a restriction I have imposed with the organic structure surrounding it. I have only found tutorials for simple ramps that go down on one end but I want a ramp that kind of goes down in several places. Any help is greatly appreciated! I have thought of one way, which is to loft the curves, but how can I create smooth curves (rounded and not irregular) and is there a quick way to create stepped ramps as I am confused what to do for the ramps that connect to another level as I want them to be walkable.
