Grasshopper newbie and trying to create forms for 3D print in clay. I am able to create a continuous polyline in vessel 1 in the attached file but in vessel 2 the line goes all over the place! Can anybody help me solve this to get a smooth polyline suitable for a print path?
In vessel 1 you have 100 curves going into Curve To Polyline resulting in 7,418Control Points.
In vessel 2 you have 4090 curves going into Curve To Polyline(!!??) resulting in 372,190Control Points(!!??)
It looks like something got very mixed up somewhere along the vessel 2 path?
I disabled and bypassed everything in the “pick every 2nd ring” area to get a more reasonable 10 curves out of Weave and going into Curve To Polyline. It still gives a messed up result but perhaps a more sensible mess?
I’m not sure your methodology for making spirals is sound? spiral_2021Feb4a.gh (30.3 KB)
Thank you Joseph and Lars. Your inputs helped a lot. I have eventually solved it entirely and added the Pufferfish component AlignCurveSeams to get a spiral suitable for 3D print.spiral.gh (27.4 KB)
