Creating a organic truncated cones

Hey everyone,

I wanted to know if there was a way to turn these rigid truncated cones (with filleted edges) into a more freeform/organic shape. Then have each cone be randomly shaped/formed? I think Kangaroo might be the way to go but I am not to sure…

Currently I have them set up as two pieces - one lofted, the other through a series of commands (edgesrf and mirror) then I filleted the corners.

Any help would be amazing!!

you should boolean union them together. then use fillet surface.

Depending on what the goal is, 3D scanning provides amazing options…

If scanned with an Artec device, Nurbs geometry could be fitted on your cones with Artec Studio.

what would this do exactly?

Unfortunately I don’t have access to a 3D scanner

Thank you this is helpful! I’m going through the script you attached …

Is there any way I can keep the base circle form then interpolate the rest of the curves? Just so I can fillet that bottom edge?
