Create Named Positions?

Hi

i was wondering if there is a function to create “Named Positions” for specific objects programmatically in C++? Could not find any hints in the documentation nor in the forum.

Thanks

Hi @dsw,

The best you can do today is script the command. I’ve logged the request.

Thanks @dale for the request.
Would it be also possible to enhance the “Named Position” feature with the possibility to save not only the position but also the visibility state?

Hi @dsw,

Snapshots will do this. Have you tried it?

– Dale

Hi @dale
no, never heard of it :see_no_evil:
But that’s a very nice feature. Question again: is it possible to create snapshots via C++ API?

Thanks

Hi @dsw,

There are a number of snapshot-related methods on CRhinoDocProperties. Do these help?

– Dale

Thanks @dale, i already searched for that days ago, but i could not get any clue how to use it.

Anyhow today i tried to search again for that and i got a nice little picture:

and the message “Sorry, we can’t find that page.

It seems the cpp api documentation is broken. :astonished:

Yeah I just saw that - we’re on it.
