Create a center curve of an edge surface

Hi guys,

I am trying to create a center curve out of the edge surface, any idea?
The concept is to model a structural support around the opening using the offset curve from the center line.

You can use the following way to do that, you can make set the extrusion height and so on using wall properties / height etc… to be accurate
