Crashing with rotating view

I downloaded the free trial version of V7 which crashes if I try to apply a material to an object, crashes when I open object properties, crashes when rotating an object in perspective view, basically crashes so much I can’t use it.

Moved to a new topic.

Please run the Rhino “SystemInfo” command and post the results.

I suspect you are running an old buggy display driver, but it could be other things.

Also, I upgraded to V7 from V5 and paid a local Rhino vendor for it. I also entered my license key at Rhino3D.com but systeminfo tells me it’s an evaluation…

Hi Robb, have you tried to turn off the Orca plug-in and then try it?—-Mark

Actually, I would disable all of the Plug-ins in Options > Plugins, filtered for Plug-ins that do not ship with Rhino.
Restart Rhino and see if you can repeat the problem.

Assuming so, then enable them one at a time, restart, and try to repeat the crash.

I’ll have a developer look at the crashes you sent in.
I haven’t seen this before.

You need to remove the evaluation license from your Rhino account and leave your permanent license key in there.

@Robb

I heard back from a developer.
Please turn off Antialiasing and GPU tessellation in Options > View > OpenGL

It looks like something in the drivers or display pipeline.

Try that without disabling your plug-ins.

Any different?

Thanks, John will do and will get back to via the forum. Best, Rob
