Like the title says, I have been having issues with Rhino just closing when I click a recent file to open while Rhino is opening. Rhino just closes a few seconds after clicking the Recent file image, as though I never opened Rhino. If I open Rhino again and do the same thing, sometimes it works fine, other times it crashes again. Usually, if I let Rhino fully open then it won’t crash, but not all the time. Here is my systeminfo:

Hi Devin - by this do you mean you wait till Rhino opens behind the splash before picking a file, or you wait until the splash is gone then open a file from the File menu? In any case, it is worth trying this all without the ‘ConnecterPlugIn’ Please disable that plug-in in Options > Plug-ins page and then close Rhino and reopen it. Any different?
-Pascal
Hi Pascal,
I meant if I wait for Rhino to open, splash disappears, and then I open the file through File > Open. Sometimes if I do that it will still crash, and sometimes it will crash if I go to Help > About and then click a recent file.
I have disabled the Connector PlugIn, closed and reopened Rhino and everything seems to be fine for the moment. I will report back if the issue reappears.
Thanks!
Hi Pascal,
It still crashes after disabling the ConnectorPlugin.

Did you figure this out?
Assuming yes, what was it?
Hi John,
I just tried it. Rhino 6 Still crashing when I click a file on the splash screen while Rhino is loading behind it. File > Open, after Rhino has fully opened, seems to be fine.

Ah yes, I’ve seen that myself.
Apparently there is no way to avoid this other than pausing momentarily as you are doing.
