I always use png when exporting with
-ViewCaptureToFile because the jpg quality is too bad. The file format I need in the end is jpg, so I always have to do additional batch processing after rendering with rhino. Yes, I read this thread. Hasn’t no one asked the obvious question jet? Why can’t we control the jpg output options ourselves? In order to use the jpg export, I’d need access to the quality setting and be able to choose progressive jpg.
There probably is a simple way that I just haven’t noticed jet, right?
Btw, exporting to WebP format would also be nice.
