I don’t want to belabor the subject but, there’s another aspect of sketchup that I find extremely productive - that is the ‘guide lines’ feature that allows one to mark a drawing with lines that can be snapped to while laying out a room for instance. Is there some feature like this present in Rhino?
v6 of Rhino has a guide feature like this currently being developed. It will be a while before this gets to Mac Rhino though so you can use lines drawn and locked as your guides using Near Osnaps. Or if it makes sense based on the form, you may find the smarttrack feature useful. Mouse over an Osnap until it highlights white and then move the cursor away… you’ll be given guides for ortho lines as well as perpendicular and tangent if specified in the Osnap panel.
