Construct an internal tangent between two circles

I tough I could use the Line Tool → Tangent → 2Curves command to create internal tangent between two circles…

Unfortunately nothing happened. It would be good to have a function for this - although I can do it manually:

It would be also good to know what is happeneing…no error message or anything to say the tool is not menat for this or if it is impossible to process the task…

One of my favorite tricks is that you can limit your snaps on the fly. So you can just type
Line
tan
(click on first circle)
tan
(click on second)

I don’t even use suboptions of the actual command like that, just on the fly snaps…
