I see what you mean, but I honestly don’t think the angle is the key point to beauty. But I think it would be worth taking into consideration for V2 of my code. I am aware that it does not produce nice output at the moment, for very different reasons than what we discuss here.
If I may say that the example file is not AAA. I find it somehow bonky and not well balanced:
these points should be outside the curve, or at least on the curve - you can see the consequences here, there’s some kind of slight S-shape that consequently forms a weird shape around the signet:
and finally at some point the view will nearly always have some weird angle in the transition when we play around with the perspective camera using unnatural angles..
We usually print stuff for the reason that on screen things look very different due to camera settings. e.g. both our images are impossible angle in real life, except if we where really tiny:
However, seeing many many problems with my code now, I probably do an entire remake for the signet ring and post it here when it’s ready. It won’t be today or tomorrow though, Christmas season is right now for us jewelry modelers.
