I would like for this object in the pink (a planter box) to sit on the surface in red. Is there a command that would allow me do that? I’ve tried just using the gumball to lower it down but I am curious if there is a better way.

Have you tried the OrientOnSrf command? I keep forgetting it exists but it’s honestly so good for this. You can place your object right onto a surface and it’ll snap to the curvature automatically. Way more reliable than wrestling with the gumball for this kind of thing.

the move command with an osnap for near is likely what you want.
or change gumball to “snappy” in the gumball setting and use a snap after relocating the gumball to a bottom corner.
