Hello,
I wanted to know if it would be very complicated to incorporate the “Component Model in Place” command to the RIR or that in Direct Shapes, when giving them a category, the geometry would acquire the properties of that category. In this way in a geometry with the category of wall you could embed a door or a window. This would allow AutoCAD plans to be lifted automatically into Revit, for example.

Hi 9pb, Direct Shape is the closest the Revit API has to ‘Component Model in Place’ and can be categorized and have parameters, although will not behave like a wall if you try to add a door.
2D autocad has useful information but to create a revit wall you would need height & type as well.
See the guide for more specifics Rhino.Inside®.Revit
Thank you very much, Japhy. What you tell me about the Direct Shape is what we have, but I wanted to know if it will be possible in the future.
As for automating the process of raising the floors of a building drawn in autocad, it would be very fast and simple with the Component Model in Place.
Thanks and regards
