under General in the Rhino Settings if i set a macro under “run these commands every time…” it works fine one time also at start up, but when i open new models it stops working.
i only recently started using it so i have no idea when that stopped working or if it worked at all at some point, but in the latest several releases this bug remains unchanged.
i made an alias for TestInstantAlias and i use _IA e enter enter in the list, i did not try other commands/aliases so maybe it does not like the Testcommand?
so the list also does not work when i select one from the templates in the splash, when i use cmd N for a standard default template it works each time
also it does not work opening existing files, but it starts working when i open a 2nd file independently of which file i open, i tried both ways and it always works on the 2nd, something is really strange,… can somebody have a look?
When you run the macro, you turn on instant aliases. This setting, just like others, is used when a new document is opened. Then, that macro is run in that second document. The “e” setting is a toggle, and when you run the macro this second time, instant aliases are turned off.

yes you are right,… did not realise that. in that case i am stuck with the dilemma of having to manually activate the test command each time i open rhino anew since this command does not stay sticky i guess there is nothing else that i could do?
