I’m preparing a terrain model which will be exported to a finite element software (PLAXIS3D). when i tried to import my model to PLAXIS, the mesh was imported as seperated meshes. My mesh type is “open mesh”. How can i combine them?
The Join command will join any number of meshes into one single mesh. Beware however, meshes can be joined without their edges matching or even touching - creating meshes with open edges or even “disjoint” meshes. So once joined you might want to turn on edge display and see if there are naked (unjoined) edges inside your mesh. In that case, depending on how far out they are, MatchMeshEdge might help to fix those.
