Whenever I create a clipping plane in the rendered display mode and activate any source of lighting (including the sun) other than the sky light it casts these weird shadows. Can someone please help!

How can I download the 8.28 version? My computer says 8.26 is the latest version and that no updates are available.

That means that you are on “final” Service Releases. There are public releases of 8.27 as Service Release Candidates.
