Clipping plane casts shadows in customized display mode

Hello, I’ve followed this tutorial (https://youtu.be/T4n6eDyXHLc) to create a customized display mode where shadows are clearly defined. However, whenever there’s a clipping plane (even if it’s hided) it casts shadows, which makes the drawing very confusing. How could I avoid this while still having the shadows of the section?

Dear @Gustavo10
i was not able to repeat your issue on a mac intel.
please post more details:

  • upload the rhino / 3dm file
  • upload your systemInfo (command _systemInfo → save as file and upload)
  • export and upload your display Mode, in _options → display mode → select your custom display mode, below the list their is a gear icon that will allow you to export it.

make sure your system and rhino have the latest updates.
what rhino version are you using ?

kind regards -tom

Ok here on an M1.

Running the Reset command would be the next step.

Thanks for the replies. I ran the factory reset command and nothing changed. I’m on an intel mac (if it’s of any help).
