I am trying to create clipping drawings , in order to simulate hull cross sections. I am using clipping planes and clipping drawing command. The biggest issue i am facing is the point of which the clipping drawing command is referenced. I need it to be the baseline , but it is the center of the box , as per below picture. That means when i position it to the border , it is not in the correct position.
Hi Ανδρεας -
In Rhino 9, the possibility of setting a reference point was included:
RH-89030 ClippingDrawings: Allows using reference point to place clipping drawings
-wim
i am using rhino 8. Does that possibility is included in the Rhino 8 too ? Can you please give me a command list which i will be able to solve the issues i mentioned ?
Hi Ανδρεας -
No. New features are being developed for Rhino 9 only at this point. If you have a Rhino 8 license, you are welcome to use that to run the Rhino 9 WIP.
I’m not sure what that means. I’m only finding that one issue and that feature is added as an option to the ClippingDrawings command.
-wim
