Clipping Drawing Background Lines - Color by Layer

Dear @rajaa, would it be possible to add an option to set the background lines of clipping drawings to “by layer”? We need to produce black-lined elevations from geometry that resides on layers with non-black display colors.

@Simon_Vorhammer is the request for “background” only or section curves as well?
Also, what would the option name be? “BgColor=ByInputObject/ByLayer”?

Actually, I think everything that is generated should be able to get their color by layer and the option name should be “DisplayColor=ByLayer/ByObject”.

Thank you so much @rajaa for looking into it.

@Simon_Vorhammer Currently the “PrintWidth” option applies to sectioned objects only (background print width is always by output layer). You are requesting that the new DisplayColor option apply to both. I agree, but think there might be some confusion about what options apply to what part of the drawing (section vs background). Eventually we might been separate options for each. Here it is filed…

Thanks for implementing this!
